Healthcare & hygiene

Our Main Approach

As MC Lianne CBO, our  healthcare and hygiene program is committed to bringing healthcare directly to the communities and promoting health awareness among underprivileged populations. Our healthcare and hygiene initiatives revolve majorly on community schools:

How We Do It

The organization promotes health and hygiene in local schools, it provides detergents and cleaning materials to ensure toilets are cleaned to avoid infectious diseases. In addition to that, MC Lianne partners with Polycom Development Project a national NGO based in Nairobi manufacturing and distributing Sanitary towels to distribute to the needy girls in our school as well as 8 neighboring schools.

Appropriate personal hygiene practices promote health thus contributing to improved school attendance and performance.

In rural areas, particularly, girls encounter barriers to education such as late enrollment, high dropout rates due to gender bias, teenage pregnancy, cultural practices, lack of sexual awareness and substance abuse.

Socio-economic factors and inadequate learning environments further impede access to education for many girls. Providing girls with education not only breaks the cycle of poverty but also contributes to healthier families and communities.
