Geographical Working Area
MC Lianne CBO operates primarily in counties of Kisumu and its neighbouring counties of Homa Bay, located in South Nyanza Kenya. These two counties are integral parts of the region, characterized by diverse communities facing various social and economic challenges. Our presence in Kisumu and some parts of Homa Bay allows us to directly engage with local populations and address their unique needs through targeted programs and initiatives.
By focusing our efforts in Kisumu and Homa Bay Counties, MC Lianne CBO aims to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and communities in these areas. Through our programs and initiatives, we strive to address key issues such as healthcare & hygiene, food security, education and economic empowerment. By working closely with local stakeholders and community members, we seek to foster sustainable development and improve the well-being of all residents in Kisumu and Homa Bay.
CBO Objectives
- Support of Orphans and Vulnerable children through provision of education.
- To enhance productive livelihood and well-being for the local population
- To establish a community resource centre aimed at facilitating learning as well as serving as a source of practical community and career development information to local community members and CBO-affiliated groups
- Empower the community groups through microfinance development through saving and loaning.
- To engage community group members in an effort to mobilize and enhance income-generating activities and thus improve the communal asset base.
- To provides detergents and cleaning materials to ensure toilets are cleaned to avoid infectious diseases and distributing Sanitary towels to distribute to the needy girls in our school as well as neighboring schools.
- To involve ourselves in the social empowerment of youths (orphans, street children) through community events such as capacity-building, youth trainings, and social activities which bring our youths and communities together.
- 8 To develop eco-tourism and environmental management activities in the region as a source of revenue for people in the villages.
- Build reading programmes with local community schools designed to build and improve children’s’ reading skills and English performance.
